How badges work and when your link is followed
Display our badge on your site to publish a free listing. We check it regularly and decide whether to follow the link based on your domain rating and spam checks.

Display and check your badge
Every listing can show a Verilo Launch badge. On your listing page, go to the badge section to choose a design (shape, light or dark, size) and copy the HTML code. Paste it anywhere on your own website—the badge links back to your listing here.
For free listings, we only publish once our crawler spots the badge on your site. We re-check every 7 days. If the badge goes missing, your listing moves to "waiting for badge" and you'll receive an email. Add it back and publication resumes automatically.
Link attribution: nofollow or dofollow
Your badge link starts as nofollow. We then run a live check: the link becomes dofollow if your site's Domain Rating (measured by Ahrefs) reaches 20 or higher and passes our spam screening. Otherwise it remains nofollow.
Paid launches receive a dofollow link on the listing page itself. Free listings receive a nofollow link.
Achievement badges
If your launch wins Launch of the Week, earns Featured status, or reaches Launched or Verified milestones, those badges display on your listing automatically—no action needed.
Questions people ask
- Why doesn't my free listing publish?
- Free listings publish only after we find your Verilo badge on your website. Check that the HTML is live and visible, then allow time for our crawler to spot it. We re-check every 7 days.
- Can I control whether the badge link is followed?
- No. The link type is decided by our automated checks based on your site's Domain Rating and spam profile. You cannot override it, but you can see the result on your listing page.
- Do I lose my listing if I remove the badge?
- For paid listings, no. For free listings, removal sends it back to "waiting for badge" and we email you. Restore the badge to re-publish automatically.
