How do I access the API and MCP server?

Developers and AI assistants can use Verilo Launch's REST API or connect over MCP to search and manage verified launches.

Updated

What's on record

Verilo Launch provides two verified channels for developers:

  • REST API at /api/v1, with a full OpenAPI 3.1 description at /api/v1/openapi.json
  • MCP server at /mcp for AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients) to search launches, read listings and—with your permission—draft and manage your own listings

Full technical documentation is at /developers.

Authentication methods

You can sign in two ways:

  • OAuth: Your assistant will open a sign-in page on this site
  • Personal API key: Generate one at /account/developers. Keys are shown once only; only a hash is stored on record

What is governed

Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API use. Payments always occur on this site itself—the API returns a checkout link when needed. Voting is not available through the API; votes are only counted when cast on Verilo Launch directly, which is how the ranking on record stays verified.

Questions people ask

Can I vote on launches using the API?
No. Voting is only recorded when cast directly on Verilo Launch. This keeps the ranking on record verified and checked.
Will my API key be stored as plain text?
No. API keys are shown to you once when created. After that, only a hash is stored on record.
Which AI assistants can use the MCP server?
Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP-compatible clients can connect at /mcp.
